ZINOX COMPUTERS – IYANYA AND HIS KUKERE DANCE

WE ARE HERE!

Are we back? Where went we in the first place? And why the long silence? Trust us, there are a million and one answers to these questions but we aren’t going to give any excuses. Rather we promise to be better and up the ante. We predict nail biting reviews and edge of the seat entertainment because now more than ever, we are dedicated to bridging the gap between producers and consumers of adverts. After all, who says you have to buy everything hook line and sinker.

 

JUST SO YOU HAVE NOT SEEN IT:

IYANYA steps into the factory like building and his hit single starts to play. Soon we see people who are presumed to be staff of Zinox in a bit of frenzy over nothing. We don’t know whether they are going up or down or why because they are not even running towards the star who throughout the length of the commercial stayed put in the factory space that we presume is at the basement of the building. Pictures of different Zinox building dot the entire commercial as it all comes to an inconclusive end.

FIRST THOUGHT

What exactly did I just watch?

SCORE: 2/10

We are not sure of the relevance of the two brands to each other. In fact the whole ad is pointless because we don’t get it. Is Zenox a place of fun, technology or both and anyone who has not seen any Zenox advert before nor heard of the company before  (let’s not rule this out as a possibility) will be at sea as to what exactly in the gigantic technology  sector they are involved in.  

All we see is a popular musician crooning his hit song and people inn pandemonium. This ad does nothing for neither brands nor me.

 

FACT FILE

The ad was shot in Lagos Nigeria and stars Iyanya. A few members of staff partook as well as models.

IF YOU LIKE IT

Then you are probably more interested in the song and or the star and not the company. Lets face it, that song is so three years ago.
